The accuracy in my testing compared to a Fluke 8060A is quite good on AC, DC, capacitor and frequency ranges. The scope function works nicely at power line frequency, my main use. There is a problem with the low DC range reaching ZERO with nothing connected to the meter, a minor issue in real use. However the current version of software in my unit needs a update. In only as few minutes of testing I found the following issues with the software. I expect to find more as I use the meter. 1) The auto range function on AC volts gets "stuck" with 120V AC applied and picks a range too low for the voltage applied. This results in the wrong reading on the display. For example I apply 120V AC and the meter picks the 40V range and displays 40 volts. Should have picked 400 volt range and displayed 120V. Manual changing of the range to 400 volts results in the correct 120V value on screen. This makes auto range on the meter unusable as you never know if the right voltage is on screen. 2) When using the relative function with dB the dB value becomes incorrect. For example apply 120V AC on 400 volt range push the dB button. Meter reads 120V at 43dB Rel to 600 ohms. This is correct. Press the REL button. Voltage reads 0.0V (correct) and dB reads --- (0dB,maybe??). Reduce the voltage to 60 volts (-6dB drop in level). Meter reads -60V (correct) and 37dB (wrong should read -6dB relative change) 3) Be nice if the back-light came on when any key is pressed so the light key does not need to be pressed every time. Over all the potential for a very nice scope meter with some updating to the software. Perhaps there is away to update the meter's software in the future. That would be nice.
